On a camping site a lot of people live together within a limited area. Their habits vary, which of course is part of the charm of camping. However, this also means that a few simple rules must apply in order to avoid some campers annoying others.

Follow these instruction and both you and the other guests will have an equally pleasant stay:

  • On arrival campers must register with the camp manager or person in charge. They must state home address and show identification. Charge are to be paid in accordance with specified fees.

  • The camp warden and his assistant(s) are responsible for peace and order and will assist should problems arise. The camp warden's instructions are to be followed at all times. Campers are obliged to learn the regulations concerning fire, gas etc.

  • Consideration toward fellow campers, visitors and neighbours of camp site is essential.

  • Tents and camping equipment should be of normal appropriate design and quality. Fences, platforms or other personal installations than tents and caravans are prohibited without permission from site manager or owner. Digging must not take place.

  • Campers must maintain good order and cleanliness on the assigned tent space.

  • Washing of cars, personal washing, clothes washing, dishwashing and rinsing is only allowed on spaces reserved for these purposes and never near drinking water sources.

  • Communal facilities, i.e. toilets, wash houses, kitchens, etc., should be left in the same condition as you would like to find them, i.e. clean and tidy.

  • Driving of Motor vehicles is allowed only between entrance and campers assigned tent space. Driving must be restricted to essential journeys and these should be at walking pace.

  • Refuse may only be placed in the receptacles provided.

  • Radio sets, TV and musical instruments are to be used with care and consideration, i.e. low volume during the day time and absolute silence from 2300 hours to 0700 hours.

  • If dogs are admitted, they must be on a short lead. They must not be unnecessarily noisy and they must be exercised outside the site or in a designated area. Always bring a plastic bag for any unforeseen accidents.

  • Ball games are not permitted among tents and caravans. Most camping sites have their own playground and playingfield.

  • Games and/or exercises that may involve danger or cause annoyance is prohibited.

  • The camp manager or owner, and/or employees of the camp site do not assume any responsibility for campers and visitors personal belongings. In the event of damage being caused on the camp site such damage must be compensated by the persons responsible.

  • Tradesmen on camp sites must have written authorisation from the camp manager or owner.

  • Guests in state of intoxications or of improper or noisy behavior are to be expelled from the grounds, when necessary by the police. This also applies to guests who omit using lavatory conveniences of the camp or otherwise pollute the grounds.

  • Any use of firearms is prohibited.

  • During 11 pm to 7 am the site must be quiet.

  • On departure the space occupied must be clean and tidy. Unless otherwise arranged with the camp warden, your pitch or cabin should be vacated no later than 12 noon. Please inform the camp warden of your time of departure as early as possible, especially during the rush period.

More detailed regulations apply to guests who arrange to rent a pitch for a whole season at a campsite. The regulations are usually included in the rental agreement for a season pitch.

The majority of the camping sites are situated in the countryside. Please, therefore, take good care of the environment and show due consideration - the future depends on you.
